How many visitors can your website take?
Honk Flock sends a crowd of visitors to your own website from several places around the world. You see how many answers came back, how many were errors, and how slow the slowest ones were, while the test runs.
How it works
- Prove the website is yours. Add a code to your DNS, or put a small file on the site. We check it. Without this nothing runs.
- Choose the test. The address, how many visitors at once, how long, and which locations they come from.
- Watch it live. Answers, errors and response times per location, updated while it runs. Stop it whenever you like.
What a test does
Each visitor asks for the page, waits for the answer, and asks again, from the locations you pick. It only reads pages (GET), never follows a link to another website, and says who it is in its request: HonkFlock. Each location has its own limit on how many visitors it runs and how fast, so a test cannot swamp a website by accident.
What your plan allows
| Plan | Visitors at once | Longest test | Tests a month | Locations |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | 50 | 1 min | 10 | up to 5 |
| Team | 250 | 5 min | 50 | up to 5 |
| Scale | 500 | 10 min | 200 | up to 5 |
| Enterprise | 1000 | 30 min | 1000 | up to 10 |
The free plan does not include load tests. It comes with every paid HonkWatch plan, next to your uptime monitoring.
Why prove ownership?
A load test can knock a website over. So a test only ever runs against a website whose owner has shown they control it, and a switch on our side can stop every test at once.
